Democracy Project --From PBS you get an interactive image of the capitol and when you click on the images you hyperlink the things like the 3 branches of government, media, schools, etc., the role all these institutions play in a democracy--this would be a cool thing to launch on a SMART board and let students navigate and discuss
From Free Technology 4 Teachers (Sept. 7, 2011):
The Law of the Land offers four interactive sections (Framers, Constitution, Timeline, and Bill of Rights) in which students can listen to and read about the creation of the U.S. government. Each section has a narrated introduction before students explore further information on their own. The fifth section is an interactive, Jeopardy-style game about the content in the previous four sections.
The Centuries of Citizenship: A Constitutional Timeline is an online experience highlighting some of the key dates and events that mark more than 200 years of our constitutional history. These timeline entries, taken as a whole, tell the evolving story of the U.S. Constitution and the continuing role that it plays in our lives.
This one is amazing--A FLASH timeline with voiceovers reading the preamble to the constitution. Completely interactive w/rollovers on dates for more information and sounds--highly engaging.
